When it comes to elite status, many consumers will go out of their way to earn it, however Starbucks has a promotion going on now through the end of the month, where they are basically giving away their top tier Starbucks Gold status for free. All you need to do is make one purchase in the store or on the app and you’re golden!

For Gold Level members, every qualifying purchase counts towards free drinks and food*. Today through July 31, all Green Level members can earn a year of Gold just by making a single purchase with the app or a registered Starbucks Card.
