If you like to use credit cards to build your points balances up, you know that sometimes it can be confusing whether or not you are eligible to receive a welcome bonus because maybe at one time before you had the card (and earned a bonus.) Well, American Express has just made the application process a little bit more transparent if you ask me. Now, when you apply for a card that you are not eligible for the welcome bonus, they will tell you so before you proceed.

It is getting increasingly harder to keep up with these credit card rules. I think that this is a step in the right direction, it adds some transparency to the process and I appreciate that Amex isn’t making you go through an entire application process just to be told your not eligible.
