Normally I get pretty excited about taking advantage of a Hyatt promotion offer for bonus points. The latest one is just coming out today. Let’s take a look at it and I’ll tell you why I’m not that impressed.

Why I’m Not That Excited About The New Hyatt Promotion

Simply register by October 15, stay at any Hyatt hotel through November 30, and you’ll be on your way to earning up to 60,000 Bonus Points. That’s on top of the points you’re already earning, and enough for 2 free nights at any Hyatt hotel in the world or 12 free nights at more than 180 Hyatt hotels.

Why I'm Not That Excited About The New Hyatt Promotion

Positive:

An “Eligible Night†is defined as any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award for at least one night of their stay.

Negative:

So basically, to max this one out at the 60K bonus points, you need to stay 40 nights in a Hyatt between September 1 and November 30th. That is 40 nights out of 3 months, assuming 30 days in a month, that’s 90 day period and I have to stay 40 nights? Seems a little aggressive to me.

Bottom Line

This promotion doesn’t make me want to stack up my stays with Hyatt. How about you?
