Offer Details: The Instant Spire Elite offer (“Offerâ€) allows full time employees of an Eligible Company to experience most of the Spire Elite membership benefits for 90 days upon joining IHG Rewards Club or registering for the offer as an existing IHG Rewards Club member. The Offer is valid between August 1, 2018 and October 31, 2018 and the member will have 90 days from the day of registration to consume the designated number of nights required to retain elite status for the calendar year of 2019. Instant Spire Elite members under this Offer will receive the bonus points or gifting benefit after completion of the required Stays.
I enrolled & got an email stating this. I also now see confirmation that I applied for the trial when I log into my IHG account. However, even though I enrolled today on 10/28, it says my trial expires on 12/31/2018. So, it’s not really a full 90 days for the trial. The promotion apparently is only good through the remainder of the year.
top Spire status doesn’t even offer free breakfast.
hahaha no one will qualify ! Must stay by Oct 31 per IHG lol
All full-time employees of an Eligible Company, who register in advance, stay at any IHG hotel between August 1, 2018 and October 31, 2018 and book through ihg.com or an eligible company booking tool will retain Spire Elite status after ten (10) qualifying nights and Platinum Elite status after five (5) qualifying nights during the Offer period. If the member does not make the designated nights during the 90 day offer period then they will be downgraded to their previous membership level as of January 30, 2019.
You’re reading it wrong. You get Spire Elite upon registering. Then, only if you plan to retain that status for 2019 do you actually have to book a stay by Oct. 31. Then you’ll be eligible to try and keep either Spire Elite status with 10 qualifying nights or Platinum Elite after 5 qualifying nights for the rest of 2019 if you can make those stays during your offer period. If you don’t plan on trying to meet the requirements to retain that status for all of 2019 and just want the status for the short trial period, then booking by October 31 isn’t necessary.

Okay , try it and let us know lol

As someone who spent 75 nights at IHG properties, this bothers me. It’s not a status match and you don’t need ten stays–only ten nights. I can pick up ten IHG nights at a nearby Holiday Inn (Thailand) for about $380 USD! I’m Spire through March, 2020, but, after that, I’ll just wait and buy my status.
Don’t get me wrong, I love InterContinental and I love IHG points–especially now that you can use them to get the fourth night free. But I’m moving my loyalty to Hilton for free breakfast and lounge access.
