Delta Air Lines offers their Diamond Medallion members surprise and delight Porsche car transfers on tight connections between flights.

Why Delta is Increasing Porsches in Atlanta this Weekend

With the Super Bowl being in Atlanta this weekend, Delta’s Elite Services team who oversees the Porsche transfers will be quite busy as the airline plans to have over 1,000 high value customers that will likely be getting transported when in Atlanta.

Delta and Porsche have partnered to transport some of Delta’s best customers from gate-to-gate in Porsche Cayennes and Panameras when connecting at Delta’s hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, New York- LaGuardia, Salt Lake City and Seattle.The service cannot be requested or reserved but is provided to Delta customers based on connection times between flights and SkyMiles Medallion status.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have received a Porsche transfer on a tight connection in Atlanta before. However as the VIP’s this weekend will be going to Atlanta, they’ll likely be receiving rides to baggage claim and the terminal as they won’t have connecting flights.

If you are a Diamond Medallion and making a connection this weekend, it sounds unlikely that you’ll be receiving a transport as their Elite Services team will focused on Super Bowl VIP arrivals.

Per the AJC,

Delta Air Lines is doubling the number of vehicles — including Porsches — used to greet celebrities and VIPs plane-side for the Super Bowl in Atlanta.

Atlanta-based Delta expects to handle more than 1,000 “high-value customers†and celebrities throughout Super Bowl week with its elite services vehicle service.

But for the Super Bowl in Atlanta, Delta will also use the vehicle service to transport VIPs from their planes outside concourses to the arrivals area of the terminal.
