One benefit to the SkyMiles program is the ability to rollover Medallion Qualifying Miles each year. For those who earn more MQMs needed than your qualification level, the excess MQMs rollover to the following year.

Delta shared that 2020 Rollover MQMs will begin posting in your account on January 3, 2021, and as a reminder all MQMs from 2020 will be rolling over next year for all SkyMiles members.

As with years past, it’s a manual process for these to process and will likely begin with Diamond Medallions posting first followed by Platinum Medallions, Gold and Silver Medallions in that order. All Rollover Medallion Qualification Miles will be posted before the end of January.

Per Delta,

Exclusive to Delta and special for this year, all SkyMiles Members, whether or not you have Medallion Status, will rollover all Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) you have in your account at the end of 2020 – giving you an even bigger jumpstart on earning 2022 Medallion Status.

2020 Rollover MQMs will begin posting in your account on January 3, 2021 and will be complete by approximately January 31, 2021.

MQMs can be earned on flights flown with Delta and our airline partners or through spend on your eligible Delta SkyMiles American Express Card. Learn more about MQMs here. Terms apply.
