American Express is offering a 40% transfer bonus to Hilton Honors now through June 15, 2021. With this bonus, you’ll now receive 2,800 Hilton Honors Points per 1,000 Membership Rewards points. You must be logged into your Membership Rewards account to view this offer.
This isn’t the only transfer bonus from American Express right now. They launched a similar American Express 40% Transfer Bonus to Marriott Bonvoy.
Additionally, last year there was a American Express 40% Transfer Bonus to Hilton Honors, so this latest is essentially a repeat of their previous transfer bonus.
Membership Rewards normally transfer to Hilton Honors points at 1:2 ratio, meaning 1,000 Membership Rewards points to 2,000 Hilton Honors points, but with this promotion you’ll receive 2,800 Hilton Honors points per 1,000 Membership Rewards points.
If you are looking for an award where redeeming Hilton points can be a good use, then consider this 40% transfer bonus from American Express to get more points from your American Express Membership Rewards points.
If you’re looking for American Express cards to earn Membership Rewards points consider the following:
- The Platinum Card® from American ExpressÂ
- Business Green Rewards Card from American Express
- The Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
Offer Details:Â Minimum transfer is 1,000 Membership Rewards points. Redeem for this exclusive offer from 12:00 a.m MT on 3/15/2021 to 11:59 p.m MT on 6/15/2021, to receive 40% additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points. Please allow up to eight weeks for the additional Hilton Honors Bonus Points to be awarded. Hilton Honors Bonus Points do not count towards elite tier qualification.
Although it all depends on redemption/travel plans, value-wise this is better than the Marriott transfer deal.
Any opinions on a strategy for this scenario. Planning a September trip to French Polynesia an would like a couple nights at the Bora Bora Hilton just to do it. There is the current Hilton Purchase Points offer; this Amex MR transfer; and the Aspire card option which would add to the dozen+ cards I have now in my stable… it would be a trip-specific card grab I don’t usually do.
