Delta announced that all Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) in your account at the end of 2021 will roll over to 2022, giving SkyMiles members an even bigger jumpstart on earning towards 2023 Status.
The great news is that these rollover MQMs have already started posting. It appears that many Diamond and Platinum Medallions have already have their rollover MQMs post.
Similar to years past, it’s a manual process for these to process and will likely begin with Diamond Medallions posting first followed by Platinum Medallions, Gold and Silver Medallions in that order.
Per Delta 2021 Rollover MQMs Update,
Exclusive to Delta and special for this year, all SkyMiles® Members’ 2021 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) balance will rollover into 2022 – giving you an even bigger jumpstart on earning towards 2023 Medallion Status. Â
Your 2021 Rollover MQMs will begin posting in your account on January 2, 2022 and will be complete by approximately January 31, 2022.
As a reminder, SkyMiles award tickets will continue to earn MQMs, MQSs and MQDs this year as follows:
- MQMs: You will earn MQMs on Award Travel tickets based on the distance flown through December 31, 2022
- MQSs: You will earn MQSs like you normally would on retail tickets. Members earn 1 MQS for each segment of their journey
- MQDs: MQDs on Award Tickets will be calculated based on the miles redeemed for the flight divided by 100
