Marriott Bonvoy announced its newest global promotion where all members will earn 1,000 bonus points and 1 bonus elite night credit each night. This is valid for stays from February 8 through May 4, 2022.

This promotion is valid only on paid stays, so award stays will not count. If you’re planning to travel during this time, you’ll want to register.
I will note that all Marriott proprieties are participating, as I’d imagine it’s being funded by corporate rather than the individual property. We’ll sometimes see Marriott properties opting out of promotions, but that’s not the case here.

Offer Terms: Registration of your Marriott Bonvoy® account is required. Marriott Bonvoy members who register for this promotion by April 20, 2022, will earn 1,000 bonus Points per eligible paid night, plus one bonus Elite Night Credit per eligible paid night, during the 85-night promotion earning period. The promotion earning period is for eligible paid nights completed between February 8, 2022, and May 4, 2022, at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties. Only stays made after registration will qualify toward the promotion. Award redemption nights including Cash + Points, free night award certificates or a Points redemption are not eligible for the promotion. Not sure how much value this will as the program will be completely devalued in March, 2022. Losing the standard award charts and having awards based on price will give a very low fixed value to points. I’m predicting probably along the lines of .25 cents per value, may .5. To compensate, they’ll need to give significantly more points per night to accommodate the significant devaluation.
Do you know if the extra nights you get from this type of promotion counts towards lifetime elite qualifications? (i.e. I stayed 3 nights, will get 6 total because of promotion. How many are added to my lifetime nights?)
