IHG One Rewards is offering a status match and status challenge for customers with other hotel elite status. Those with status from all the major hotel chains including Accor, Best Western Rewards, Choice Privileges, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, Radisson Rewards, World of Hyatt, and Wyndham Rewards.
Eligible customers can complete registration to be upgraded to Platinum Elite. Stay just five nights to maintain your status. Stay another 10 nights to fast track to Diamond Elite.
IHG Rewards Platinum Elite members receive a 60% more bonus points every time you stay, complimentary room upgrades, and a welcome amenity of either points or a drink/snack.
Those who stay an additional 10 nights within your 120-day period to earn Diamond status through December 2023. IHG Rewards Diamond Elite members receive a 100% points bonus, complimentary breakfast and a 24/7 Diamond Support line.
Registration must be completed by July 31, 2022 and IHG reserves the right to validate the hotel loyalty program information shared by members up to 60-days past the promotional end date.
IHG One Rewards just launched their new loyalty program and they’re trying to steal marketshare from other hotel companies, so launching this status match and challenge will be a good way for them to have other hotel elite members come try out IHG One Rewards in the hopes of converting loyalty over.

Guess this means Platinum status will be further devalued in favor of Diamond. Those “snacks,” btw, usually consist of a cheap bottle of water (Arrowhead in my experience) and a bag of trail mix or a granola bar. I wish the status match was going the other way.
Of course, many of us are already platinum. Does this mean that we can start there and for 10 nights get diamond until the end of 2023?
