Do you think you fly a lot on Delta? Perhaps you’re a Diamond Medallion member, but one Delta passenger takes the record for the most flown miles. Todd O., is Delta’s first and only 14 Million Miler who just hit this milestone this month.
Per Delta,
Among Delta’s most frequent travelers there are the Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Medallion Members. There are people who have traveled 1, 2 and even up to 13 million miles on Delta jets. But there is one customer who holds the travel bragging rights trump card: Todd O., Delta’s first and only 14 Million Miler.Â
Read that again: 14. Fourteen. FOURTEEN million miles, flying with Delta. Even more astounding: Todd leaped from 13 to 14 million miles in only 18 months. “Let’s not call it an ‘accomplishment,’†Todd laughed when congratulated and thanked for his loyalty to Delta, agreeing that the word “milestone†might be a more apt word for his achievement. “The only thing I do is sit in a seat!â€Â
Todd reached 14 million miles March 6 on a flight from Zurich to New York, a trip that happened to coincide with his birthday. And did Delta ever celebrate in style.Â
For the rest of us, Delta does have a million miler program, which is as follows:
- 1 Million Miles = Annual Silver Medallion Status
- 2 Million Miles = Annual Gold Medallion Status
- 3 Million Miles = Annual Gold Medallion Status
- 4 Million Miles = Annual Platinum Medallion Status
- 5 Million Miles = Annual Platinum Medallion Status
- 6+ Million Miles = Annual Silver Diamond Status
Are you a Delta million miler? Feel free to share how many miles you’re currently at in the comments below.
I certainly don’t envy him.
OMG. I know how long it took me to reach my two million miles status, and this notion of 14 million stands far above my imagination!
Wow. He can fly ATL to SEA in first class. Maybe twice.
