Delta announced they’ll be launching brand new service from 3x per week from Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane, Australia starting on December 4, 2024, This complements Delta’s current service to the South Pacific which includes nonstop service LAX to Sydney, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; and Tahiti.

Delta is building on its largest-ever winter schedule to the South Pacific with the launch of a seasonal route from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Australia, that begins Dec. 4, 2024. Flights to the capital city of Queensland will operate three times per week through Mar. 28, 2025.
Delta will serve two cities in Australia, including Sydney, giving customers ample opportunities to immerse themselves in the charm of Down Under. In Brisbane, Australia’s third-largest city, travelers can indulge in top-tier art galleries, scenic cycling trails, vibrant food markets, and visit the world’s largest koala sanctuary. The city’s proximity allows easy access to the Gold Coast, Noosa, or the option to venture north to relish the wonders of The Great Barrier Reef or westward for an immersive Outback experience.
Delta’s new LAX- Brisbane service will be operated by the Airbus A350-900 featuring Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin seats.
Other US airlines that serve Brisbane include both United Airlines with service from both Los Angeles and San Francisco, and American Airlines which will launch nonstop from Dallas starting later this year.
