My flight approached Atlanta yesterday after a smooth flight. I tried to get back early to catch Mrs Weekly Flyer before her departure. The landing was about sunset. We arrived from the east, headed west past the airport and made a turn south and then east to head back to Hartsfield International Airport for a smooth landing. The sun peaked through the clouds as we touched down as smoothly as a MD90 can.
I had a call to take just as I was landing so figured I’d catch a quick bite and grabbed a seat in my favorite Atlanta airport restaurant, One Flew South.
Seating
The restaurant offers a nice dining experience. This isn’t your grab and go airport restaurant. So grab a seat, get comfortable and enjoy the food and people watching.
One Flew South Food
The restaurant has great food, especially for an airport. I usually go with the Chicken soup and sushi. I’ve also tried the BLT and can recommend that as well.
Bottom Line
Consider One Flew South if you find yourself famished in the Atlanta airport. But make sure you have at least 30 minutes to enjoy the meal and the people watching.

A perpetual favorite. Great burger too. Wine list is fantastic.
Their scotch list ain’t bad either. Best to eat here if you have a hefty expense account – the price can run up mighty quickly.
Which terminal is this in?
@deltaplat: Terminal 5. To the left as you get off the escalator, before you get to the food court. Across from Caribou Coffee
