Bottom Line
One of the best perks of Marriott Platinum status is the guaranteed lounge access/breakfast benefit. Marriott Platinum members also receive room and suite upgrades and a nice 50% earning bonus. The Premier Silver status on United is another nice perk.

I’m a Marriott Platinum and a Hyatt Diamond. In my opinion, the Hyatt status is far more valuable. Better upgrades, free breakfast, free wifi and free club access.
