The Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card gives 15 elite qualifying nights each year each year just for having the card after the first year, as well as the opportunity to earn 1 elite qualifying night for every $3,000 you spend with no limit, meaning you could spend your way to Marriott Platinum status.


Bottom Line

One of the best perks of Marriott Platinum status is the guaranteed lounge access/breakfast benefit. Marriott Platinum members also receive room and suite upgrades and a nice 50% earning bonus. The Premier Silver status on United is another nice perk.

  1. I’m a Marriott Platinum and a Hyatt Diamond. In my opinion, the Hyatt status is far more valuable. Better upgrades, free breakfast, free wifi and free club access.
