Bottom Line
This is a cool new perk that I think Delta Medallion members will enjoy!
As a Hertz Plat member i can say that while i was president circle status in major US airports mean nothing. everyone has it. and it’s not respected. for the guaranteed upgrade which i consider the only perk with this status, Hertz woudl screw around and upgrade from a “F” to a “YF” in simple words from a camry to an altima. same car class, just one is considered the next car class so an upgrade. renting a midsize like a corrola would get you a cruze. but if you rented a corolla your anyways gonna have a high chance of getting a cruze because its the car class you rented. forget about upgrades to prestige cars or anything like that.
As a plat – the perks are not that drastic in regards to upgrades, but the terminal pickup and return ride as well as not waiting in lines – having the manager take care of your reservation at most HLE’s thats a great plus – as well in major airports they prepare and hold low mileage cars almost always a nice upgrade – rarely prestige but sometimes for a full size res.
the benefit of low mileage cars is a major one at car rental companies.
still a nice perk for delta meddalions just sayin – don’t expect anything at all.
