Just last week, I succeeded in achieving SPG Lifetime™ Platinum, which is very exciting for me! But, with the impending merger of Marriott and SPG, what will this mean for my new Lifetime™ Platinum status?

Bottom Line
Obviously, I have been a long time fan of Starwood and find that their points are amongst the most valuable around. Now only time will tell what the new Marriott-SPG program will look like and how my newly achieved status will be handled once the merger of the programs is complete. The good news is that Marriott also offers lifetime status.
If you’re looking for a way to earn even more Starpoints, you may want to consider the Starwood credit cards, Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express and the Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express.
