Hilton 1,000 Bonus Points Per Night Through June 30th

The current Hilton promotion provides 1,000 bonus points per stay.  While this is not as good as the current stay 3 get 1 free night promotion at Starwood, this promotion may benefit a different target audience.

Obviously those who are loyal to Hilton will use this promotion, but it may also apply to those of you who do not wish to play the “check-in / check-out” game to maximize the stay based promotions.  To maximize the Starwood promotion you could check-in on Monday, check-out on Tuesday, stay at a different hotel Tuesday night, then check back in to the same Starwood hotel for Wednesday night.  This would yield two stays towards the Starwood promotion in one week and give you multiple elite amenity points, but you have to go through the trouble of un-packing and re-packing.

The main benefit of the Hilton promotion is that you are rewarded for every night you stay at a Hilton with a bonus 1,000 points.  This promotion may benefit the Hilton loyalists, but my value is in playing the Starwood game, whats your strategy with the current promotions?
