I’ve made significant progress on my trip report page by adding reports from French Polynesia to Italy to Buenos Aires. In my next trip report I will cover our trip to Bahia beach and Isla Verde Puerto Rico as part of our ‘Year of the B’ travel theme.

This past summer we took a trip down to Puerto Rico using Delta miles to fly First Class from ATL to SJU. We rented a car on priceline and drove from the SJU airport to Bahia beach. We used three SPG free night certificates from their promotion last year to check out the new St Regis hotel. There has been a lot of discussion on this hotel adding to the luxury travel hotel segment in Puerto Rico. So I’ll provide my thoughts on this hotel compared to the other hotels I’ve stayed at in Puerto Rico.

Then we headed over to the Ritz Carlton San Juan on a paid rate. This was the second time we visited the Ritz Carlton Puerto Rico in 2011 and probably our 5th or 6th visit overall.

During the trip I was a SPG Platinum member and Marriott Platinum member.
