Bottom Line
I tried to use this promotion code online but the website was giving me an error that the promotion code was invalid. So I called up the Platinum line to try a sample booking using the 50% off code.
I tried a sample 2 night booking at the Le Meridien Tahiti. With the 50% off rack rate promotion the hotel was going for XPF 17,000 per night. Without the promotion the rate was XPF 24,000 per night. Both rates were the refundable rate.
So it appears this promotion can save you money at Starwood properties in Hawaii and French Polynesia.
I used this promo when I booked my honeymoon stay at St. Regis Princeville on Kauai. Saved over $300 with the next best rate and I’d been watching the rate daily for months!
I get a “invalid rate code” message when attempting to book online. The website only provide the usual high rates for Kauai and Maui. Useless.
Thanks for letting us know about this promo! Based on your reviews I recently booked for Hilton Moorea in May, and have been thinking about what hotel to go with on Bora Bora.
I called and checked the price for our dates and with the promo code the St. Regis Bora Bora is only $40 more per night than the Hilton Bora Bora. I’m just afraid everything else there will add up much more quickly than at the Hilton.
Please let me know if you happen to be aware of anyone who has done a detailed review of St. Regis Bora Bora. I loved the level of info you gave in the Hilton Moorea review – it has been so useful.
Hi Boraxo – Just call the platinum line and they can find the availability for you.
Hi Sheryl – Thanks for the feedback on the Moorea trip report. The St Regis Bora Bora looks great from what I can see, but so does the Hilton. You will of course forfeit free breakfast at the Hilton if you have status there. So that is an additional cost to consider. I’m not aware of any reviews by fellow travel bloggers.
