There was some confusion and difficulty with Citi registering credit card holders with the 10x American Airlines miles with Amazon spending promotion. We are happy to share that at least one reader had the promotion added to his account.

Earlier this month we shared that Citi is offering 10x American Airlines miles with participating purchases at Amazon through September 30, 2012. A number of you shared frustration with getting this promotion even though you were a Citi card holder. It turns out there is at least one success story. See below to understand how Henry82 had the promotion added to his account.

Bottom Line

If you spend at least $250 at Amazon you can make out the 2,500 AA mile earning cap with this promotion.

Comments

  1. Thanks for the information. What’s the best contact information for Citi in this regard?

  2. I sent a secure message this morning, with no luck. I got the following reply:
    “Thank you for your inquiry.

Our records do not indicate you were solicited for the offer you mentioned. We occasionally solicit American Airlines AAdvantage® members for special offers. If you are an AAdvantage member, it is possible that you will be solicited in the future.”

    Worth a shot I guess!
