It is no secret that we think Atlanta’s One Flew South is the best airport restaurant. In our first review, the restaurant served up an awesome soup and sushi role. But our most recent dish tops them all and wins our vote for best airport restaurant dish. Until something else comes along, the One Flew South restaurant and their Duck Breast dish wear the crown.
How To Get To One Flew South
To visit the One Flew South restaurant you’ll have to head to Terminal E in Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport. From the plane train, go up the Terminal E escalators, go pass the Lufthansa Senator lounge and look to your left.
Once you pass the Senator Lounge, you’ll notice the entrance to One Flew South. If you check out their wine list and spirits as you pass by, I’m sure you’ll see something you like. Along with a great wine list, they serve one of my all time favorite Bourbons, Black Maple Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Once inside, you’ll be lucky to find a seat at this bar. The friendly mixologists can mix something up to meet your fancy. Sit back with a nice drink and catch the game while waiting for your dish to arrive.
Best Dish From Best Airport Restaurant
I found the best airport dish by chance. I sat down to order the usual, but my waitress pointed me in the right direction with the Duck breast dish. It did not disappoint.
The Duck breast dish is served with french lentils, bok choy, parsnips, carrots and cherry miso sauce.
That cherry miso sauce is amazing. You will have to try it to know what I’m talking about.
One Flew South in the Atlanta airport is the best airport restaurant. For the best dish, try the duck breast. But don’t just take it from a Weekly Flyer, this restaurant is duly noted as the best airport restaurant by the Mayor himself. Sorry for ousting you Tiffanie B.!
