United is giving away 500,000 United miles with their United MileagePlus shopping Half-A-Million Miles sweepstakes. To enter, log into the United MileagePlus shopping portal and register between now and September 30, 2012.

Sweepstakes Details

In order to participate you must log into the MileagePlus shopping portal and register between 9/5/12 and 9/30/12. Twenty lucky winners will be selected to receive 25,000 United miles each. This increases the percentage to win.

How To Get More Entries

You can receive more entries to the sweepstakes through a few other entry methods outlined below.

• Opt-in to Email Communications: After you register, you may sign up to receive email communications. If you agree to receive these communications and/or if you do not “unsubscribe” from the email offers if you are already receiving them, you will receive one (1) additional entry into the Sweepstakes so long as you remain opted in as of the end date of the Promotion Period. Limit: You will only receive one (1) entry during the Promotion Period for opting-in to email communications, so long as you remain opted in as of the end date of the Promotion Period.
• View offers from participating retailers: Visit https://www.mileageplusshopping .com/sweepsoffers____.htm?promoname=halfmillion daily before midnight Central Time to view offers from participating retailers. You will receive one (1) additional entry into the Sweepstakes for taking this action. Limit: You may receive one (1) entry per day during the Promotion Period for viewing retailer offers.
• Complete an online purchase through the MileagePlus® Shopping site or by use of the MileagePlus Shopping Assistant: Visit www.mileageplusshopping.com/ and purchase any item available for sale or use the MileagePlus Shopping Assistant to complete a purchase with a participating merchant. You will receive one (1) additional entry into the Sweepstakes for each qualifying purchase transaction made (multiple purchases in a single transaction will only result in one (1) entry). Limit: There is no limit on the number of purchases you may make. However, you can only receive two (2) entries per day during the Promotion Period for qualifying purchase transactions.
• Earn Additional Entries Without Purchase or Opting-in to Email Communications: If you do not wish to opt-in to receive marketing communication, or make a purchase, hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, MileagePlus® account number, and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “MileagePlus® Shopping Half-A-Million Miles Sweepstakes,” c/o Dept. #588657, P.O. 5046, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5046. Limit: One (1) entry per envelope. You may mail-in up to fifty-three (53) entries during the Promotion Period. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and must be postmarked by October 1, 2012 and received by October 8, 2012. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified.

Terms And Conditions

Ends 9/30/12. Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: $17,500. Entrants release all parties from all claims/liability arising from this Sweepstakes or acceptance/use of any Prize.
