American Express sent me an email today that offered me targeted statement credits if I spent a certain amount of money with restaurants. When I logged into my American Express Platinum Card account, there were more statement credit offers to choose from. This was sent to the email address dedicated to the Platinum American Express card Mrs Weekly Flyer received with a 100,000 Membership Rewards bonus. I recently received an offer for 100,000 Membership Rewards offer for the Business Platinum Card from American Express but cannot yet confirm if the business version of the card also receives this offer.

The Deal With This Statement Credit

The statement credit offer included a selection of seven statement credit offers from restaurants and stores. I was able to review, select and redeem the offers online. It appears I’m able to select as many offers as are available.

The first one that caught my eye was for California Pizza Kitchen which comes with a one time $10 statement credit when you use your enrolled card to make a single in restaurant purchase of $25 or more at California Pizza Kitchen.

Another interesting one that I enrolled in was for The Palm restaurant. This one comes with a one time $50 statement credit when you use your enrolled card to make a single in restaurant purchase of $200 or more at participating Palm Restaurants.

• Simply click the link through the email or log into your American Express account and you will find more offers for statement credits
• Click on the get offer link to enroll in the offer
• Spend at the threshold by the expiration date at the participating business
• Get the money saving statement credits

The Bottom Line

I really like these free statement credit offers from American Express. I hope that American Express will continue to offer these statement credits, especially at restaurants. It is a no brainer especially if you are headed there anyway!
