It finally happened at my Hyatt!

This entire week I have been staying at a Hyatt for business.  I entered my room this evening as I normally do but something was different.   I was scanning my belongings scattered about the room and something caught the corner of my eye. Could it be?!  After discovering what had changed, tears of joy started flowing down my cheek.  Fine chocolates from Belgium? Vintage wine amenity from the GM? No, no, this is even better….

For the first time at any of my Hyatt stays (and swapped in mid-stay no less), the Portico Bath Products were finally replaced!  For far too long, Hyatt has been stocking most Hyatt properties (excluding Park Hyatt and higher end Hyatt properties) with Portico White Ginger bath products which I, and a strong majority of my traveling colleagues despise.  Put nicely, the scent is…well…not great.

It wouldn’t take much to sell me on the sleek new KenetMD product line Hyatt plans to use now but I have to say they smell and feel great.  KenetMD is distributed by Gilchrist and Soames.

Thank you Hyatt!

  1. You guys all suck. All least with White Ginger, you could think about Hawaii. I hope “KenetMD” makes you think of doctors offices! 😉

I am lighting candles in every cathedral in remembrance of Portico…

  2. I like the white ginger but I’m glad to see they kept the bumpy soap. It makes me wonder if its just repackaging 🙂

  3. I absolutely LOVE the old Hyatt Place White Ginger Bath Soap with the massaging bumps. While it sounds like everyone is ecstatic about the change, I miss that smell. To me, it brings me peace.

Really, if anyone has access to this old stuff, I’d REALLY like to get my hands on some (i.e. a lot, err case(s).
