Starbucks, the company that seems to have us all addicted, is expanding its My Starbucks Rewards loyalty rewards program. Starting in May, stars can be accumulated for purchases in two new ways. The first is packaged coffee from grocery stores. The second is for purchases at Teavana stores. You can read more about the plans here.

While this is by no means a game changer, it’s promising to see established companies finding value in creating and growing loyalty programs. Everything Starbucks Corp touches turns to gold so I expect this program to continue to grow and should spawn off copycats. C’mon Chipotle!!!

The Groupon deal is still avail. in Canada. I bought one yesterday and I just checked for Toronto and it’s still on.
