According to this article from the Denver Channel, paramedics were called to a Lufthansa plane in Denver on Sunday night. Passengers had complained of heat exhaustion after sitting on the plane for more than 3 hours without air conditioning.
The Lufthansa flight 447 was originally scheduled to depart Denver for Frankfurt on Sunday night at 5:40 pm but the flight was delayed due to a mechanical problem with the aircraft’s air conditioning. The plane ended up departing at 10:24 PM MDT according to Flightaware.
How long could you handle sitting in a plane with no air conditioning? What’s the longest you’ve been forced to wait on board with no air conditioning?

I had a 3-hour wait once on an RJ. However, the pilot had left the plane sitting at the gate. After the first hour, he let everyone get off to cool down. We waited and reboarded closer to actual departure. Isn’t this pretty common since they count “departure time” as whenever the plane is boarded and door closed?
That sounds brutal. But weren’t passengers allowed off?
Not as bad as Vicente, I had an hour and half delay, stuck in an aircraft at the gate. The ground crew apparently disappeared. The APU wasn’t working so no A/C on a humid August morning.
I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the
layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like
this one nowadays.
