Last week I posted about 7 stackable promotions that creates some MAJOR earning opportunities for savvy Southwest flyers. While the nationwide double points promotion has expired since then, Southwest credit card holders are in luck because a new double points offer has just launched!
As a Rapid Rewards® Credit Cardmember, you can earn double points on flights booked through Southwest Airlines® between July 1, 2013 and August 31, 2013. Pay with your Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Credit Card and watch your points soar!
With this promotion, you will receive 24 points (instead of the standard 12 points) per dollar spent on Business Select® Fares, 20 points (instead of ten points) per dollar spent on Anytime Fares, and 12 points (instead of six points) per dollar spent on Wanna Get Away® Fares.
Here’s how easy it is to take advantage of this promotion:
- Register between June 19, 2013 and August 31, 2013.
- Purchase your flights through Southwest® with your Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Credit Card for travel between July 1, 2013 and August 31, 2013.
- Earn double points on your flights!
Keep in mind that you also continue to earn 2 points per dollar spent on flights just by using your card.
To register, login to your Southwest account. To the right of your points total click Details hyperlink. Click on the My Rapid Rewards tab and look under the Rapid Rewards Promotions.
The bottom line
While we were down to 6 stackable promotions for a couple days, we are now back up to 7! It’s a great time to be a Southwest flyer.
Any clue if the double points count towards the companion pass?
Do you have a break even point between earning SWA points and redeeming SWA points?
This is not in my list of available Promotions when I sign in.
This made my day! Thanks for the tip I just registered this morning.
@Paul – They will not.
@Grant – It all depends on your situation because the math is pretty easy with Southwest earning and burning. Because I have been using Southwest for business travel, all my personal travel has been on points.
@Terry – Do you have the credit card?
@Alex, it might be helpful to provide a screenshot of where this is located. I have the credit card and do not see any promotions tab
@Phil – I updated the post with step-by-step instructions. Thanks!
