Hyatt hotels has recently announced the acquisition of a very well known hotel in Central Florida, the Peabody Hotel for $717 million.
This 1,600+ room hotel will be rebranded as the Hyatt Regency Orlando Convention Center after the deal closes on October 1, 2013. The is great news on two fronts. First, the hotel has recently gone through a major renovation of more than $440 million dollars. It is a nice hotel in a very central location. Second, this adds a great property to the Hyatt brands in the Central Florida Market.
Overall great news for Hyatt Gold Passport members seeking a family trip to Florida.

What happens to the ducks? 🙁
@Jimmy: My thought, exactly!
Hope Hyatt keeps the Peabody ducks! Hyatt Peabody sounds better than Hyatt Orlando Convention…
