Delta has been good to me lately. I recently got upgraded on an award flight both ways to domestic First Class thanks to Platinum Elite status. That was nice. I even got upgraded to international Business Elite on a domestic flight. Sure those are exciting, but so are the small things.
Sometimes it is the small gestures that count the most. For example, I opened the inbox and what did I find? This little present from Delta. Free wifi for being loyal. How about that?
The last time Delta gave us a gift, it was in the form of 500 extra miles. I kinda like getting gifts for no reason.
How about you, when was the last time you got a gift from Delta, what did it look like?

I’ve been burning my Delta points as fast as I can, down to 19,000… glad to see you find this airline “useful”, I don’t; their stingy rewards, lack of availability for low point redemptions, no one-ways, their dumping on AwardWallet, I will do whatever I can to steer my biz and others AWAY from them. If you find them useful as well as promoting them, guess that’s good for you. For me, I’ll celebrate when my mileage balance hits ZERO with them!
Yea, what a great airline… raise biz class award levels but then give you a free wi-fi pass. I left DL and never looked back.
A long time ago (last century), I was invited to a private Chicago concert thanks to Delta. However, it was NWA at the time. Even bigger deal is that I was only Silver Elite.
With all due respect, an airline serves a much larger purpose than just for a passenger to redeem miles on a one-way basis, or to use miles at a self-determined “appropriate” level, or to use AwardWallet, etc. 99% of passengers would probably judge “usefulness” of an airline based on product, service, price, reliability, safety, etc. Just my thoughts!
Safety, Product, Service are my top 3. Delta hits the mark on all three of them.
Where’s my gift from Delta for being a Platinum Medallion 😉
