US Airways is gearing up for Football season with a 50% and 100% bonus miles on flights this fall. The promotion is valid on flights through November 17, 2013. A 100% bonus is awarded for those who score a “touchdown” and a 50% bonus is awarded for those who score a “field goal” using the methods described later in this post.

Terms And Conditions

Registration required. Registration begins September 30, 2013 and ends November 17, 2013. Your Dividend Miles number must be entered at time of booking. You may only participate in the promotion with one Dividend Miles account. If you are found to be participating with multiple Dividend Miles accounts, all bonus miles earned from the promotion will be forfeited and removed from your accounts.

Bonus miles earned from this promotion will be from flights taken; bonus miles will not be awarded on partner activity. All travel must take place on US Airways or US Airways Express carriers September 30, 2013 – November 17, 2013. Flights taken after November 17, 2013 will not count toward this promotion or bonus. Only segments in an eligible mileage accrual class will count toward the promotion; award tickets will not count. Missing mile requests will count toward the promotion if credited to your account before December 1, 2013. The mileage amount earned is a percentage bonus of all miles flown on eligible flights during the promotion dates. The bonus miles awarded as part of this promotion are not Preferred-qualifying miles. If you qualify for both bonuses, only the 100% bonus will be honored. Please allow 6 – 9 weeks after qualifying flight activity is completed for the bonus miles to post to your account.

All Dividend Miles hotel and car rental partners are included in this promotion. Registered Dividend Miles members will earn a 50% bonus on flights from this promotion and will earn the regular amount of miles directly from partners for hotels stays and car rentals. In order to earn bonus miles you must request Dividend Miles from the partner when making your reservation, checking in or when requesting your points transfer. The 100% bonus offer for a club membership purchase is available for all new US Airways Club enrollees, former members who have expired within the past 6 months and current members within 90 days of membership expiration. In order to qualify for the 50% bonus miles offer, US Airways MasterCard or US Airways Visa cardholders must make purchases (that are not later returned or rescinded) that total at least $2,000 and have a posting date to the cardholder’s Dividend Miles account September 30, 2013 – November 30, 2013. In order to qualify for the 100% bonus miles offer, US Airways MasterCard or US Airways Visa cardholders must make purchases (that are not later returned or rescinded) that total at least $4,000 and have a posting date to the cardholder’s Dividend Miles account between September 30, 2013 and November 30, 2013. If a Dividend Miles member has more than one US Airways credit card, the purchase requirement must be met on an individual US Airways credit card; purchases cannot be combined across multiple US Airways credit cards. Only the primary cardholder is eligible to receive the US Airways flight bonus. To be eligible for this offer, the cardholder’s credit card account must be open and in good standing. Purchases made during periods when the cardholder’s account is delinquent, their balance exceeds their credit line or their account is otherwise not in good standing do not qualify for this offer.

Bottom Line

It makes sense to enter even if you don’t anticipate scoring a field goal or touchdown. Although the 50% on all flights with a field goal seems fairly easy to get.
