TripAdvisor and American Express have teamed up with their latest Sync promotion to offer customers $5 statement credits when they write their first TripAdvisor review. This offer is valid now through December 31, 2013, but since quantities are limited it could end earlier, so I would get in on this deal sooner than later.

Offer Terms & Conditions:

Get a $5 statement credit when you connect your eligible American Express Card with TripAdvisor and leave one posted review (approved by TripAdvisor) before 23.59 (EST) on December 31, 2013. Corporate and Prepaid Cards are not eligible.

  • You must connect your American Express Card to TripAdvisor to be eligible to receive the $5 statement credit.
  • Quantities are limited.
  • Only one $5 statement credit per connected Card.
  • Your Card must remain connected until the statement credit is applied.
  • Statement credit may not be received if a review doesn’t meet TripAdvisor’s qualifications and is not posted by TripAdvisor

Amex Trip Advisor Five Dollar Promotion

Your TripAdvisor Program Terms & Conditions apply to this connected Card offer – check them for full details about connected Card offers and statement credits.

Statement credits will appear on your billing statement within ninety days after the end of the applicable offer period, provided that we receive information about the Qualifying Transactions. Statement credit may be reversed if a Qualifying Transaction is returned/cancelled.

Bottom Line

Writing a review on TripAdvisor takes only about 5 minutes to do so I would highly recommend getting in on this deal. If you don’t have a TripAdvisor account, you’re able to sign-up for one in the process, and if you already have one you can use that to Sync to your American Express account. Once synced, you’re able to write a review for any place that is on TripAdvisor that you have you used your American Express.

TripAdvisor reviews are not just limited to hotels, meaning if you’ve been to a restaurant, salons, amusement attraction etc. you’re able to write a review for it. The statement credit should post to your Amex account within a few days after your review is published.
