Delta SkyMiles elite members who achieve status each year will know that once you get a taste of the free upgrades, unlimited award cancellations, free checked bags, complimentary economy comfort, etc, it is hard to go back to not having status.
EXPIRED
So I look for the ways to earn Delta Medallion Qualifying Miles the easiest way I can. Last year I earned Platinum Status the easy way, and this year I intend to keep it.
This past week I received an email notifying me of a 10,000 MQM bonus I received.
It was literally the easiest way I’ve earned 10,000 MQMs this year. The 10,000 MQM bonus was deposited into my account because I spent $25,000 on my Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express in one calendar year.
My point is there are many ways to earn MQMs without having to leave the comfort of your couch. Who really wants to take a red-eye mileage run anyway :)?

The easiest are those you get for opening an Amex DR card
1$ spend (+450 fee)
The ones you get for spending 25k cost you 500$ in lost cash back
Love the miles boost. Reached it with the Delta Reserve Card earlier this year, signed up for the Biz Amex Delta Platinum card and just hit the $25K spend earlier this month. Another 10K MQM depositing into my account. Hit Platinum in August, trying to roll over 20K MQM into 2014 and hit Platinum again by end of March 2015. Thanks for all of the great advice and tips! I enjoy reading your posts.
Speaking of Delta, you did a post on Delta One-Ways a few weeks back. Any follow-up on booking Delta flights using Virgin Atlantic, since they’re now partners?
How long did it take for the bonus MQMs to post after hitting the 25K threshold? Was it once your statement closed?
And did your redeemable skymiles (actual) go up as well or just the MQMs?
Spending $25,000 doesn’t sound that easy.
