  1. I’d have to go with North Dallas; just because I live somewhat nearby (about 2 1/2 hours south). Unfortunately, I live closer to Austin, and you’re simply not going to find a Cat 1 in that city with Hyatt (at least I don’t think so; I could be wrong). However, since the cash price fluctuates wildly (depending on what’s going on in Austin any given week), sometimes redeeming points can be an incredible deal, particularly for the Driskill and Hyatt Regency in Downtown Austin, even if they aren’t Cat 1.

  2. They Hyatt Regency in Greenville is a gorgeous Hyatt with a wonderful restaurant on the 2nd floor that was a high end country kitchen of sorts with locally grown and farm fresh foods. In the back of the hotel was one of the main streets in Greenville good for walking, shopping, cafes and restaurants. There was also a CVS just up the street that always had plentiful Vanilla Reloads when CVS sold them with credit cards. Oh, the good old days!

  3. Hey mate, thanks for this one, I’m doing a crazy mileage run in September / October, trying to not spend any money on hotels where I can avoid ( mileage run to get my million miler with UA before they rape the program next March when UAMP won’t be worth a pinch of shit ) I forgot about the less than 10,000 pts I have in Hyatt, until I saw this, got Hyatt Place with free shuttle near DFW for 5,000 so most appreciative of the tip. I enjoy your blog. Cheers mate.
