If you recently picked up Amazon Prime in the last sale that we posted about, you are likely enjoying your new benefits including free 2-day shipping! But, you may not know that you can share the Amazon Prime free shipping benefit with up to 4 people?
Share Amazon Prime Free Shipping Benefit
Free or paid Amazon Prime members can share the Amazon Prime free shipping benefit with up to four additional family members. The key is that each of the family members has to be living in the same household. If you purchase a Prime membership for a small business, you may invite up to four co-workers to shop with this corporate account. However the other Amazon Prime membership benefits can’t be shared such as Prime Instant Video, Prime Music, and the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library.
Here’s how to share your Prime free 2-day shipping:
- Log into your Amazon account
- Go to “Your Account”
- Under Orders Section, “Manage Prime Membership”
- Scroll to the bottom to expand the “Invite A Household Member”
- From there, you can follow the prompts to enter in their info and send them the invitation email through Amazon
If you don’t already have Amazon Prime, here are the awesome benefits:
You can sign up here.

Bottom Line
If you have Amazon membership with Amazon Prime, you can share the great free shipping benefit with up to four people. Giving your family the free shipping benefit will help you maximize the value you get out of the free 2-day shipping benefit. This is a great benefit of Amazon Prime that you may not have known about.
“The key is that each of the family members has to be living in the same household” — Is this new? Because I’ve been on my sister’s Prime account for 2 years…she lives 800 miles away and has a different last name (married).
That was taken from Amazon website. When we shared our benefits it didn’t ask to confirm address. Maybe there is a loose definition of “household”…
So whats the verdict? Can two (or more) people share Prime even if they have different addresses?
