We posted that Hyatt Diamond Suite Upgrades had a glitch in some accounts. Instead of it showing the 4 Suite Upgrades, it showed Free Night Award – Category 1 – 4. So this was likely giving old and new Diamond members some concern when they went to look at their newly minted Diamond Suite Upgrades in their accounts.
Hyatt Gold Passport normally gives Hyatt Diamonds 4 Suite Upgrades each year, which get deposited on March 1 each year.
Hyatt’s Update On Diamond Glitch
The screen shot below shows the “Free Night Awards – Category 1-4” which is normally the award received with the Hyatt credit card, except that you only normally only get two of those, not four. It might have been a nice glitch if it doubled the free night awards, which are only awarded once after meeting minimum spend.
Even if that was the case, I wouldn’t trade a free night award for a Diamond Suite upgrade. I love my confirmed upgrades too much. So I was a little “concerned” but knew Hyatt would fix it.
And here is a comment in our prior Points, Miles & Martinis post by Jeff Zidell SVP, Hyatt Gold Passport confirming that Hyatt is on the case.

Bottom Line
Hyatt is aware of the glitch and is working to fix it. In other news, Jeff Zidell reads Points, Miles & Martinis! Hi Jeff, we are big fans of Hyatt as well! 🙂
So glad to hear that you are big fans of Hyatt. I’m a big fan of martinis, so we should definitely connect at some point to enjoy a martini (with blue cheese stuffed olives) and chat about all things points and miles.
The Diamond Suite Upgrade error has now been corrected.
Wishing you safe travels,
Jeff
Thanks for the note Jeff! We’re about to cross a major milestone with Hyatt and would like to celebrate when we do. About to have 7 figures in our lifetime earned points column with Hyatt. It’s down to the wire with Hyatt or Delta where I’ll be Million Miler / Pointer first. Something this year.
Look forward to catching up in person at the next event.
