Bottom Line
Delta’s renovating their LAX SkyClub as they continue to improve their facilities at LAX. I was at the LAX SkyClub a few weeks ago and renovations are well under way.
If you happen to be passing through LAX this summer, feel free to report back on their latest renovated club.
I had a 5 hour layover at LAX and after going to In N Out (I walked and it took me 15 minutes from Terminal 1), I headed over to LAX Skyclub. For some reason every time I go there it’s quite packed. Since it was hot outside, I wanted to take a shower but there were no showers yet….. then a light bulb lit up to my head. Is there an AAdmirals Club at LAX airside? My annual fee was coming up and I was going to cancel my citi exec aadvantage card but while I still have it, I might as well take advantage of its benefits!
I was surprised to see only a few reviews of the AAdmirals Club lounge online but after learning I could walk there airside through a tunnel in 5 mins, I did just that. That LAX AAdmirals club was SO SPACIOUS and even had a quiet zone! It had 8 shower suites! EIGHT! Versus DL’s skyclub’s planned 4. Between the two, AAdmirals club easily wins though we’ll see if the planned renovation will be better. Mind you I’m a DL flyer and have never flown on an AA flight (though I have redeemed a lot of AAdvantage awards!) 😉
Seems strange that paid F on LAX-BOS doesn’t qualify for SC access. Especially since many JFK-second tier cities do.
I have the regular Delta Amex credit card which allows me to buy a day pass at $25. Can I go ahead pay with another credit card like Ritz Chase Credit card that has $300 incidental fee credit? Thanks. I have to burn that $300.
