On an early morning trip back from the west coast last week, a colleague and I flew first class on Delta and enjoyed the following breakfasts. The oatmeal is one that I haven’t tried yet, but really enjoyed. It definitely looked a little weird, but the flavor and texture was great! There was a lot of cooked fruit on the side of the oatmeal and also many other side options including, the usual mixed fruit, a bagel and cream cheese, yogurt, and it came with milk. The oatmeal was really good, so if you like oatmeal, I would definitely recommend giving Delta’s First Class oatmeal a try! The egg omelette with potatoes and sausage was also pretty good and I have reviewed before.

Bottom Line

I enjoyed a nice flight from the west coast and really enjoyed a new breakfast that I hadn’t tried before, the oatmeal in Delta’s First Class. If you like oatmeal, I would definitely recommend trying it. It was quite different, but very good!

  1. Oatmeal should be prepared with whole milk. The only acceptable use of water with oatmeal, is if you are backpacking and so far from civilization that milk is not available.

  2. I was on Delta first-class from LAX to DTW 10 days ago. They only catered two oatmeals for the entire cabin. I was forced to eat someone’s yogurt that they didn’t want.

  3. Morning First class flight to Maui from LA. Oatmeal with cranberries and pineapple… UGH!
Really Delta. If I had to create the worst meal that would be it.
The other option was egg, potato and chicken italian sausage bake. Again not a great choice for me. How about just eggs, potato and choice of meat.
