Got the email, tried to register but it said I was ineligible. I have an Amex gold Delta cc.
I have a Delta Reserve AMEX card. I got the email for 1,000 Skymiles. I clicked on the link and got a message that I am not eligible. It said only cardmembers who received the email are eligible. (But I did get the email.). Another flub up by Delta and AMEX.

No luck. Wasn’t targeted, and tried calling customer service. They said they couldn’t find that promotion, even with the reference code. 🙁 Thanks for the tip anyhow!
So I filled out a points request online and here is the reply I got today. FYI. Sounds like they’re outsourcing these email writers. But no miles posted so now I’ll have to write back if I want to bother. Sigh.
“I apologize for the inconvenience that caused to you on receiving such
emails. To clarify, on May 16, 2016 an email was sent in error advising
Gold / Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card Members that they were not
eligible to register. However, after reviewing your account information,
I see that you were able to enroll for the promotion and 1000 bonus
miles have already been posted in your account and they are showing in
your current balance.”
