Holiday weekends are all about spending time with friends and family. And as a frequent flyer, part of that means getting to the place you’ll be spending the holiday weekend, in comfort and style.
“Let Me Upgrade Ya”
It was not anticipated, but my upgrade came through on this 757. The seat couldn’t have been a better automatically assigned seat, 1A.
Delta upgrades are nice and are based on status. Tie breakers come into play for those on the upgrade list and are determined by things like status but also higher fare class and even if you have a credit card like the Delta Reserve Credit Card from American Express in your wallet, that helps!
The best part about the upgrade on a holiday weekend is that this holiday weekend starts early with complimentary drinks and food.
On this flight they were offering a selection of Turkey Sandwich or Turkey Salad. Pretty much everyone in the first few rows went with the salad so I was only able to see that one and taste it. I’d say it was a mix of Jimmy John’s style turkey sandwich with a nice Olive Garden salad. Just ok for first class food.
Bottom Line
