You Can Now Redeem Points for TSA Precheck on Southwest Airlines

One of my favorite parts of traveling these days is being selected for TSA Pre-Check, and the easiest way to get TSA Pre-Check is to be an elite flyer with an airline and to opt-in or by receiving Global Entry reimbursed through your credit card, however thanks to Southwest Airlines, there is now a new way you can redeem for this if you have Rapid Rewards points.

To redeem, head over to their rewards site and choose Explore Rewards. When you scroll down you’ll see what’s new and TSA PreCheck is listed from one of the choices. From there, you can select the reward, which is going for 9,000 Rapid Rewards points, however note you still will need to be approved by TSA.

Bottom Line

Redeeming for TSA Pre-Check through Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Points is just one of my ways that you can get Pre-Check for free. Many credit cards will re-imburse you for it, airline elite status may qualify you for it, SPG Platinum is offering it as a choice benefit, High-level Delta and United elites can choose it as a perk as well.

he TSA Pre-Check Authorization Code (the “Code”) is a Code that can be redeemed at any TSA PreCheck™ enrollment center operated by the supplier of the Code.
Codes will be issued with an expiration date.
 
Once points are redeemed for a Code, the Code is not returnable, exchangeable, refundable or redeemable for cash, credit or previously purchased items under any circumstances, even if lost stolen, destroyed or expired. All handling and upgraded shipping fees are non-refundable.
 
Prices, suppliers, handling fee and shipping charges are subject to change without notice.
 
Receipt of the Code does not guarantee that an applicant’s application for TSA PreCheck will be approved, and no replacement Code will be issued or other compensation will be made regardless of your eligibility outcome.
 
The number of Codes is limited.
