It seems that American Express is launching some new targeted offers for their cardholders on select cards that earn Membership Rewards points. Their latest offering is if you spend $6,000 in purchases you can earn 7,500 bonus points, however it does appear to be targeted.

Over at Travel Codex, Scott mentions of his offer of 10,00 bonus American Express Membership Rewards, so be sure to check to see if you were targeted for one of these offers.

Enroll by August 31, 2016 and earn 7,500 extra Membership Rewards® points when you spend $6,000 in purchases on your enrolled Card starting when you enroll through November 15, 2016. Terms and Conditions apply.

To qualify, you must be a cardholder of a Membership Rewards earning card, which includes:

As mentioned, this does appear to be targeted, so be sure to keep an eye if you do receive an email from American Express for this offer, or possibly a different offer. Report back on your successes!
