Below are the terms of the Anniversary Award Night from Hyatt: To qualify for the Hyatt Credit Card Anniversary Award Night, your account must be open and not in default at the time the Award Night is issued. Please allow up to the end of your Anniversary month each year for your Hyatt Credit Card Anniversary Award Night to be issued to you. (“Anniversary” is the date that is twelve months after your account open date, and the same date each twelve months thereafter.) Award Night is good for one (1) night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance at any Hyatt hotel or resorts designated as Category 1 through 4 under the Hyatt Gold Passport program or participating M life resorts designated as Category 1 through 4 under the Hyatt Gold Passport program. Not valid at properties in any other category or at Hyatt Zilara or Hyatt Ziva properties. Award Night may not be transferred, used, or extended beyond the expiration date or re-credited for points. To find Category 1 through 4 properties, visit goldpassport.com. A property’s category is subject to change at any time prior to booking without prior notice. Chase is not responsible for offer fulfillment. The Anniversary Award Night bonus is subject to change without prior notice.

Bottom Line

The annual anniversary award night from Hyatt for the Hyatt Credit Card by Chase is a great benefit, and one that outweighs the annual fee if you know how to maximize it.

Comments

  1. Your post is misleading. The annual free night is restricted to Hyatt property category 1-4, but the 2-night sign up bonus does not carry this restriction. You should clarify in the title or at least the introduction.

  2. I’m trying to use my free night and I’m finding when I search online that, while points nights are available, the free night award is not showing on the nicer resorts. I was under the understanding that if rooms were available, the free night would be as well. Am I missing some kind of blackout clause or something? I’ve checked for Papagayo, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Miami, and more. And so far have only found a free night in Daytona at a Hyatt Place (ugh) searching a 6 months time period.

On the same note, Papagayo seems to have points nights wide open, but no free nights and no points and cash.

  3. can I use my free night from my Hyatt credit card at the Hyatt downtown in Los Angeles?

if not what hotels can I use it in the Los Angeles area?
