Wow! I am not much for cruises but, I may be interested in this! The cruise industry is about to get more luxurious with this addition! Via press release, “THE RITZ-CARLTON TAKES TO THE SEA – FIRST LUXURY HOTEL BRAND TO OFFER BESPOKE YACHT EXPERIENCES.”
Not Big On Cruises; You May Be Interested In This! The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection!
Today The Ritz Carlton announced it will be entering into the luxury yachting and cruises world, “bringing the award-winning luxury hotel brand’s service and timeless style to sea called The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Their fleet will consist of three “lavish cruising yachts,” the first of which is expected to set sail at the end of 2019. Capacity will be at just 298 passengers “and feature 149 suites, each with its own private balcony.”
Via press release, Throughout the journey, guests will indulge in a cruising style that is unparalleled in the ultra-luxury cruise and private yachting sectors. The Ritz-Carlton yachts will feature a restaurant by Sven Elverfeld of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg; a signature Ritz-Carlton Spa; and a Panorama Lounge and wine bar, offering a wide variety of on-board entertainment. Additionally, the yacht will offer one-of-a-kind curated destination journeys through collaborations with local chefs, musicians and artists, allowing guests to experience the locations in unique and experiential ways, both onboard and ashore.
As with The Ritz-Carlton on land, cruises feature:
- Thoughtfully designed, modern interiors
- Destination-based activities with local chefs, artists and musicians
- Luxury amenities including The Ritz-Carlton Spa
- Elevated dining including a restaurant from Sven Elverfield of Aqua, the three Michelin-starred restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg, and Panorama Lounge
Voyages range from 7 to 10 days and include overnight and daytime ports of call. The first yacht sets sail in 2019; reservations open May 2018.
Would you consider this option? If so, look for reservations to open May 2018! I wonder if you will be able to use Marriott or Starpoints to book the The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection? That would be sweet!
If you are looking for Marriott points, remember, Starpoints are valuable and made more so by the Marriott Starwood merger last year. You can transfer 1 Starpoints to 3 Marriott points.
