The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont Managed Property offers 157 guest rooms and suites, all which have recently been renovated. On the island, there is also the Fairmont Southampton, however that property is older and is much further from town. From the airport, it’s about a 20 minute ride to the Hamilton Princess, and there are plenty of taxis available or you can arrange a shuttle service in advance.

This Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, is part of the Fine Hotels and Resorts program for those holding the American Express Platinum Card, where you can receive a $100 property credit, complimentary Wi-Fi, guaranteed 4pm late check-out, daily breakfast for two, room upgrade upon arrival, and an early check-in.

As a Fairmont Platinum member, I decided to use a suite upgrade here, and was able to confirm a Garden View Suite at time of booking.

One of the benefits of staying at the Beach Club, is they provide complimentary shuttle service to their private beach club.

Bottom Line:

Overall the Fairmont Hamilton Princess & Beach Club is a great property if you’re looking for the best of both worlds with being close into town, having great pools, as well as access to the private beach club, as it’s located about a 5 minute walk to the heart of downtown Hamilton where all the shops and restaurants are, and is located directly on the Hamilton Harbour.

The one negative with our stay was the shuttle service to the private beach club. They have a set schedule, however we found that the shuttles wouldn’t always run on the schedule, or they would be full and then we’d have to take a taxi to the beach club instead. See how this stay compared to our past stay Hotel Review: Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, Bermuda, where we had a standard guest room on this stay.

  1. My stay at this same hotel was enjoyable, although I envy your Welcome Amenity of 6 bottles of Heineken.

Another enjoyable activity is to take the local bus and listen to beautiful dialect spoken by the locals.
