Great news for both cardholders of the Platinum Card® from American Express, or the The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, or Centurion Members. American Express has just announced that cardholders will have even more lounge access thanks to addition of select Lufthansa airport lounges, Frankfurt and Munich. With these latest additions, cardmembers get access to Lufthansa Lounges at Frankfurt Airport (valid through March 31, 2019) as well as the access to Lufthansa Lounges at Munich Airport will be extended through May 31, 2019.

As part of The American Express Global Lounge Collection, we invite Platinum Card and Centurion Members to enjoy access to select Lufthansa airport lounges in the satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport 6/1/18-5/31/19, and in Terminal 1 Concourse B of Frankfurt Airport 6/1/18-3/31/19.

  • Platinum Card Members may enjoy access to Lufthansa Business Lounges (regardless of ticket class) and Lufthansa Senator Lounges (when flying business class) in the Satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport, and T1 Concourse B in Frankfurt Airport.
  • Centurion Members may enjoy access to Lufthansa First Class, Senator and Business lounges in the satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport, and T1 Concourse B in Frankfurt Airport, regardless of ticket class.

Platinum Card Members have complimentary access to Lufthansa Business Lounges (regardless of ticket class) and Lufthansa Senator Lounges (when flying business class) in the Satellite area of T2 in Munich Airport  from 6/1/18-5/31/19 and in T1 Concourse B in Frankfurt Airport  from 6/1/18-3/31/19. To access the Lufthansa lounges, Platinum Card Member must present a government issued I.D., a same-day boarding pass showing confirmed reservation on a Lufthansa Group flight (Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian airlines) and a valid Platinum Card.  Card Members must adhere to all rules of participating lounges. Participating lounges and locations subject to change without notice. Additional guest access and fees subject to terms and conditions of participating lounges. In some Lounges the Platinum Card Member must be at least 18 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian. Must be of legal drinking age to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly.

Bottom Line

It is always great to see more lounges for The Platinum Card® from American Express cardholders like myself to benefit from. It would be really nice to see American Express expand this this partnership between American Express and Lufthansa to more Lufthansa Lounges around the world.
