Chase announced that they are removing two popular benefits of their Chase Sapphire Preferred card, which are Price Protection and Return Protection effective August 26, 2018. It’s unclear if other cards will be affected in the Chase portfolio, but its likely Chase Freedom will see this benefit being discontinued as well.

When it comes to return protection, many American Express cards offer a great program, where American Express will essentially refund your item if the merchant will not, so if you value this benefit, you’ll want to use an American Express card going forward after.
