The British Airways Executive Club award chart uses peak rates for award partners and is calculated based on the distance of each flight in an itinerary.

For example, if you are flying from Cleveland (CLE) to New Orleans (MSY) with a connection in Chicago (ORD), the redemption rate will be calculated by adding the Avios required for a flight from Cleveland (CLE) to Chicago (ORD) and the Avios required for a flight from Chicago (ORD) to New Orleans (MSY).

  1. Can these trips be booked online at aa.com? When I log in and try to redeem miles, it only shows AA redemptions. Does the trip need to be booked through BA’s website? Or is it necessary to call AA or BA to book the trip with Avios?
