Right now you should check your IHG account to see if you are targeted for a promotion where you can earn up to 100% bonus on points. You have to log into your account here to see your offer.

I was only targeted for 80% bonus and for me to get that level, I have to buy at least 20,000 points. Other readers report being targeted for 100% bonus points.

IHG 100% Points Bonus

Bottom Line

With the newest PointsBreak list is out and if you compare the cost of buying the points to the hotel nightly cost that you are looking to book, this promotion could save you some good money! For example, a few years ago we stayed at the InterContinental Thalasso Bora Bora which for an overwater bungalow can run you $900+ a night. If you can get award availability, you can certainly do better paying with points.
