Last year, New York’s John F. Kennedy Terminal 4, home to Delta Air Lines among others, had 17 automated TSA security lanes added to their security check-point in an effort to speed up getting through security. However, travelers know that Terminal 4 security can still have long lines, even with Pre-Check.
New York Delta fliers will be excited as CLEAR is finally coming to New York’s John F. Kennedy Terminal 4 airport on Monday 11/19, just before the Thanksgiving holiday travel begins.
When it comes to CLEAR’s current New York (JFK) operation, they’ve been at Delta’s Terminal 2 the past year, however as the vast majority of Delta flights depart at Terminal 4, it hasn’t been an ideal set-up as you’d have to go T2, go through security, then take a bus back to T4, so this latest addition is a huge win for Delta fliers!
Here are the hours for CLEAR at Terminal 4:Â
- T4 CLEAR Lane for Precheck-eligible travelers 5:00 am – 9:30 pm
- T4 CLEAR Lane for standard security:Â 3:30 am – Midnight
CLEAR uses fingerprint and iris I.D. technology to expedite the document check portion of the TSA security process. CLEAR members verify their identity in the dedicated CLEAR lane and then enter either TSA PreCheck or general screening depending on their status, reducing the overall amount of time spent at security.

Very excited!
Not having clear at Delta terminal 4 was a letdown.
Just to clarify, I assume that Clear members flying any airline at Terminal 4 are welcome, Is this the fact?
Yes, I’d imagine so, it’s not just limited to Delta.
How about Terminal 8, CLEAR?!
OMG AMAZING!!!
YESSSS!! Its about time. Sometimes I’d use the Sky Priority lane in T4 because it was smaller than the TSA Pre lane. This is absolutely fantastic news!!!
